Travel Back: Bangkok – Part One

Every year, I try to plan at least one big international trip and late last year, I crossed a country that I’ve always wanted to visit off of my list: Thailand and while I was at it, Myanmar!

So first up, here’s Bangkok Part One (as I book-ended my trip with this city to fly in and out of).

Mr. Crispy Joe (Guay Jub Mr. Jo) is a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant and an absolute must. Crispy pork and soft rice noodles in a clean, favorable broth. Yum.

Now off to temples! Grand Palace (not pictured), Wat Pho, and the famous reclining Buddha at Wat Phra. Thailand temples are extremely conservative, so make sure that your shoulders and knees are covered. It is always hot and humid in Thailand, so I wore shorts everywhere. For temple days, I made sure to bring a scarf that I wrapped around my waist to be a cover-up. Not sure how to do this? Don’t worry, there are workers that will actually do this for you, at least one worker did for me. Also wear shoes that are easy to take on and off as shoes are not allowed in the temples.

Shirt: Madewell
Scarf as a Wrap: old Lilly Pulitzer for Target
Bag: Amazon

Now off to leg 2 of 4 of the trip!
